ALL ARE INVITED TO VIEW PHINNEY’S ANGELS TREE SHINING BRIGHTLY ON GROUNDS OF PIERCE HOUSE ESTATE IN SUPPORT OF PETS IN NEED
COVID-19 Pandemic Underscores Critical Need for Godparents Program Sponsorship Support (Groton, MA, November 10, 2020) – Phinney’s (aka Phinney’s Friends), a nonprofit serving clients in Massachusetts experiencing temporary or long-term financial and mental and/or physical hardships, is actively seeking sponsors for its Godparents Program, which provides donors with a personalized way to provide monthly support to a specific pet or pets in need. To celebrate the Godparents Program, Phinney’s has decorated a majestic blue spruce adorned with multi-colored lights and personalized watercolor ornaments honoring pets in need on the grounds of the Pierce House estate in Lincoln, MA. The public is invited to walk the Pierce House’s tranquil grounds to celebrate the festive season with a visit to Phinney’s Angels Tree. Visitors can scan the QR code posted near the tree to learn more about each and every pet featured on the tree through Phinney’s Godparents Program or buy an ornament of their very own. “Becoming a Godparent to one of the pets in this program is one of the most beautiful ways to give back during this season, after such a difficult year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. And it’s a perfect gift to give a family member or friend—a gift that will truly make a difference in both people and pets’ lives. We are so grateful for our Godparent Program sponsors,” said Daniela Caride, Phinney’s president. Godparent Program sponsors receive quarterly updates on the pet(s) they sponsor, and their monthly donations go directly toward those pets’ ongoing wellness needs. For instance, Godparents Program donations are used to cover costs of sponsored pet(s)’ food, treats, toys, and other supplies, such as kitty litter; annual vet visits, vaccines, and flea/tick prevention; minor surgeries, including dental work; and prescription food and medication for a year. The grounds of the Pierce House are a serene and refreshing place to take in nature, go for a walk, and enjoy a picnic. There is onsite parking, and the grounds are open from dawn to 9:30 pm daily at 17 Weston Road in Lincoln, MA. The tree will be decorated through Jan. 31, 2021.
