Phinney's is happy to participate in events like Paws in the Park 2022, and we need more dedicated volunteers to help. When people come together to support animal welfare, everyone benefits! For those who were able to attend Paws in the Park (Paws) on May 15 at Longfellow’s Wayside Inn in Sudbury, MA, you know it was a really great time!
Our president, Morgan Ritz, and a team of dedicated volunteers (a big shout out to Lynn, Diane, and Marva and her daughter Daphna) made a lot of new friends on Phinney’s behalf, raising more than $200 to support our mission. We are so grateful for the contributions received and for our volunteers' hard work in organizing and participating in this event. By the way, we are looking for a volunteer to Coordinate our Table Events! That means this volunteer would search for events for Phinney's to participate in, maintain a calendar of such community events, and recruit volunteers to staff event tables. Are you interested? Email info@phinneys.org to learn more. At Paws in the Park, we had pamphlets so people could learn about how Phinney's provides a lifeline of financial and emotional support to those struggling to care for their pets. People also got to learn about our recently launched Legacy Program. And, of course, there was lots of “shop talk” about how amazing pets are, and there were so many cute dogs out with their people, which was heartwarming to see. The proceeds from admission to Paws in the Park benefited the nonprofit Save a Dog. We’re so glad we were able to support Save a Dog’s mission to help homeless dogs that day. Thank you again to everyone who made Paws in the Park a success! We look forward to hosting our own in-person events again soon. Stay tuned to our events page for updates.
