WE ARE CLOSING BY THE END OF MARCH 2023.
Dear Phinney's supporters,
It is with sadness that we tell you Phinney’s is starting the process of dissolution. In approximately two months, we expect to close our operations after 26 wonderful years of helping people and pets stay together.
The pandemic impacted everyone, and Phinney’s is no exception. We have not been able to find enough volunteers to cover key positions, and we can no longer keep up with the tasks essential to maintaining the organization in good order.
After much deliberation, we decided that the best course of action is to close down.
Regarding the low-income pet parents we regularly help, we will do everything we can to buy them time, so they can make plans for future needs. Our goal is to honor at least part of what we promised with the provisions we are able to bestow them.
Phinney’s saved countless lives, made thousands of people and pets happy, and kept them safe. We have witnessed so much good, and we certainly cherished every smile and tear of joy from grateful pet parents. All the thank you's and all the hugs. And when the messages came through the internet, we rejoiced in every note telling us that their pet was saved and happy.
All these accomplishments could not have happened without you. By helping with your time or with donations (and sometimes with both!), you provided hope and relief to thousands of pet parents in need.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your extraordinary generosity. It has been an honor to fulfill your wishes as a supporter of our mission.
Phinney’s Board of Directors
